With Ashis Ray in the chair, James Mayall and Krishnan Srinivasan will discuss Srinivasan’s “Diplomatic Channels”, his recently published book on world politics. This volume comprises an exceptionally frank depiction of people and policies during his tenure as foreign secretary, the theory and practice of non-alignment, and commentary on events and challenges around the world. The conversation will also touch on Srinivasan’s fiction, especially his last novel “The Invisible African” which is largely set in Kolkata.

Krishnan Srinivasan is a former Indian foreign secretary. James Mayall is Emeritus Professor of International Relations at Cambridge. Ashis Ray was formerly editor-at-large at CNN, and is the London correspondent of The Times of India.
