Manavta is an international (UK, USA and India) voluntary, non-profitable and non-religious organisation, with a mission to create and promote a Healthy, Happy and Harmonious world. Its volunteers organise regional chapters to address local social issues and empower people. Its projects involve promoting education for all, advising people on eco-friendly living and healthy lifestyle, caring for the orphans, elderly and the disabled, providing free medical dispensaries and mobile medical camps in rural places, blood donation drives, supporting poor people with healthcare needs and tree plantation drives. Founder and president of Manavata, Srinivas Alluri is a Senior IT Architect, whose focus in life is the Manavata humanitarian activities. For the last 19 years, he has been gathering resources to help those in need. He actively promotes yoga and healthy eating to empower people to live healthily. His latest achievement is the Cycling for Humanity 2011 initiative that involved cycling 10,000 kms from London to New Delhi. This evening, Srinivas will share his experience of this epic cycle ride, the inspiration behind it and conduct a brief Healthy living workshop too.
