Dr Karan Singh, President of the ICCR, visits St James School, London

This day’s event is primarily for school teachers, though open to all, who would like to understand the implications of including Sanskrit in a school’s curriculum. Sanskrit is a classical language incorporating an unequalled grammar system, so classic teachers in particular will benefit from a day’s overview of this seminal language, which will include how to teach the alphabet, Sanskrit sounding, some Sanskrit paradigms & stories, a display of text books and how to develop a course up to IGCSE level.

This day is managed by Sanskrit @ St James, a voluntary group of Sanskrit enthusiasts dedicated to enlarging Sanskrit teaching throughout the world. It is affiliated to the St James Schools in West London, where Sanskrit is taught from age 4 to 18.
