The joint-winner of the Tibor Jones South Asia Prize 2012, Srikumar Sen will be reading from his first novel, The Skinning Tree. Born in Calcutta, Srikumar moved to England in 1946 and has worked on the Statesman in Calcutta, the Guardian sports desk and as Boxing Correspondent for the Times in the UK. 

Chair : Prof Amit Chaudhuri, author of five novels, has won many prizes for his fiction including the Commonwealth Literature Prize, the Betty Trask award, the Encore Prize, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the Sahitya Akademi Award. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and Professor of Contemporary Literature at UEA. 

The Charles Pick Fellowship offers a CPS Asian Fellowship, which offers free accommodation at University of East Anglia with cash supplement. It has attracted 44 submissions and the 2012-CPF winner will be announced at this event by judge Amit Chaudhuri. The other judges are Anjali Joseph, Kamila Shamsie, Sophie Lambert and Jon Cook.
