Sadia Afroz Chowdhury is a professional singer and teacher based in the UK. She is well known for her versatile singing and her melodious voice. Sadia trained in classical music and her first Teacher was her mother Munawara Begum. She started her music journey at an early age while she was in Bangladesh initially from Ustad Shunil Dhor, Ustad Gopal Datta, Ustad Sanjib Dey and is currently training under Pandit Chiranjib Chakraborty who is one of the fi nest classical vocalists.
Sadia has performed many competitions in Bangladesh and was awarded nationally for her Patriotic songs and Nazrul Shanggit. She is an enlisted A grade singer in Bangladesh Television and Betar Bangla. She has been performing since the age of ten and has performed in numerous academies, theatre, auditorium, many prestigious stages like Rich Mix, Harrow Arts centre, Croydon Fair Field Hall (RG Academy Orchestra), Bangladesh High Commission, Red Bridge Town Hall (Int. Art Festival), South Hall Park (South hall Mela), Wavers’ Field, Victoria Park (London Bangladeshi Boishakhi mela).
