Indian Folk Music : Baishnav Tantra & Papia Ghoshal

Baishnav Tantra is a music band formed by artist & singer Papia Ghoshal in Prague, dedicated solely to create awareness about Indian traditional & folk music (mainly) among the music lovers in the West. Papia being a trained classical & folk singer from University of Calcutta, experiments with different moods & melodies from different parts of the world, bringing in different singers & musicians to play in her band. ‘Baishnav Tantra’ this year will have singer & harmonium player Abhijit Ghosh, Muhammad Dordoh in drums & Papia in Dupki, Ektara & vocal.
