Saudha’s world-class concert that connects both Indian classical music (instrumental and vocal), haunting verses of oriental and occidental poetry (Tagore, Ghalib, Hafiz, Keats and many more) as well as Kathak dance.
It will feature one of the maestros of North Indian classical vocalists Chandra Chakraborty one of the leading Tabla players Sanju Sahai, highly acclaimed Keyboard player Sunil Jadhav, percussionist Renu Hossain, Tagore singer Imtiaz Ahmed, ardently evocative Kathak dancer Jaymini Sahai and Showmi Das,actor and impassioned reciter Leesa Gazi, reciter and TV newscaster Towhid Shakeel , Persian reciter Arzo Samani and Nazrul singer Amith Dey etc. Performance poet Siobhan Mac Mahon, David Morgan, Thiago Alexandre Tonussi and T M Ahmed Kaysher will read their poems on the theme with music in a brief independent poetry session prior to the concert.
Satyen Sen school of performing arts will perform a chorus from the remedial lyrics of Tagore.
The concert is designed to seek the serenity of soul in the mundane crisis of modernity through emulsification of sacred music and verses of hypnotic poetry.
