Bharathanatyam has evolved since thousands of years, and has taken in the essence of various poets and artists through the passage of time. This performance will highlight some of the most loved pieces from the classical repertoire featuring Literature from ancient Indian texts, as well as, a few pieces from contemporary poets. The show presents Bharathanatyam in all its glory – its Classical grandeur as well as its fluidity and grace.

One of the most dynamic young Indian Classical dancers, Radhika is sought for her unique quality of movements and evocative emotive abilities. Having begun at age seven, she has trained intensively under Gurus Smt. Shubha Dhananjay and Sri Kiran Subrahmanyam. A winner of the National award of ‘Nrithya Bhushana’ for Bharathanatyam, she is also trained in Classical ballet under Yana Lewis (Bangalore) and the Royal Academy of Dance (London). She has travelled extensively as a soloist across India, China, USA, and UK. An MA Fine Art Graduate from Chelsea College of Arts, London, she works with paintings and mixed media installations; has published two books of poetry, imagery, and experimental prose; and often imbibes these experiences together in her creative choreographic works.
