Shiju Menon is an artist of distinction who has captivated the audience with scintillating performances. He is one of the few dancers, of current generation, who specialise in the nuances of four Indian classical dance forms of Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Mohinattam and Kathakali.

His inborn talent as a classical dancer has won him many accolades, including Kalaprathiba at the state level in Kerala, India. Shiju Menon is the disciple of Guru Smt. Geeta Padmakumar, Guru Shri. Kishore Mosalikanti and Guru Smt. Regatta Girija Chandran.

As part of Nrithyamalika, Shiju Menon will present Kuchipudi Margam, which means path. The programme will start with an invocation to Vighneshwara, the Lord who removes obstacles. This will be followed by Shree Krishna Leela Tarangam, an important piece in the repertoire of Kuchipudi. This piece will then be followed by a Devi Stuti. The evening will conclude with a Thillana, which involves intricate movement of the footwork.

Choreography of this Margam is by Guru Smt. Geeta Padmakumar.
