Aditi received initial training from Late N.M. Sinha in Delhi. She later trained under the doyen of Gwalior Gharana L.K. Pandit. Thereafter she trained for fourteen years under Padmabhushan Late Shobha Gurtu in Light Classical Music (Thumri, Dadra ) She is a graded artiste of All India Radio and has performed all over India and has been well appreciated for her style, finesse and creativity by audiences, critics and press.Aditi Banerjee is equally proficient in Ghazal, Bhajan, Rabindra Sangit, Bengali Tappa, Nazrul Geeti, etc. 

The evening’s performance will explore traditional compositions created in Indian Classical Music for the monsoons.Compositions are based on varieties of Raga Malhar, Megh, Des, etc. in Hindustani Classical & Light Classical styles of Northern India. Thumri, Kajri, Sawan, Jhoola are mostly based on ragas like Tilak Kamod, Des, Jhinjhoti, Pilu, etc.
