About Nehru Centre
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), an autonomous organisation affiliated to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, runs 34 other cultural centres besides London, including in Berlin, Moscow, Johannesburg, Cairo and Colombo. These centres function as part of the diplomatic missions of the Government of India of those countries with the objective of serving as windows into the composite culture of India.
The Centre organises a wide range of cultural events on its premises, showcasing Indian music, dance and theatre, besides a range of activities aimed at strengthening and deepening the intellectual dialogue between the two
Thank you all for the enthusiastic response to our events in the current season. The Women in Music Festival events, the fashion show featuring Eri silk and several other events were very well received.
In May and June, we are featuring several interesting events including exhibitions on heritage craft of West Bengal by Biswa Bangla that supports over 10,000 artisans, photo exhibitions on India, panel discussions and seminars on a range of topics including the life of V.K. Krishna Menon (marking his 120th birth anniversary), on war reporting, Indo-Islamic art and literature, Talks by Padma Shri Dr. Sunil Kothari, Prof. Sunil Khilnani on his recent book ....
