Music: Sur Sandhya – A tribute to Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle

This concert will feature a rich repertoire of timeless melodies brought to life through her soulful renditions and musical finesse.

Widely known as the ‘Nightingale of Northeast England’, Dr. Asmita is the winner of the British Icon Trophy at the International Indian Icon contest in Chicago (2019) and has been recognised for her outstanding contributions to music while maintaining a distinguished career in medicine. A classically trained vocalist, she continues to evolve under the guidance of Pt. Shounak Abhisheki and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, Bela Shende, and Shaan.

The evening will be anchored by Dr. Shivanand Jadhav and Dr. Anand Dixit, and accompanied by a talented ensemble of musicians: Mukhesh Kannan on keyboards, Navya Mukhesh Kannan on bass guitar, Sandeep Popatkar on tabla and dholak, and Rajesh Maskarenhas on electric drums.
