Kavya Muralidaran, the artistic director, dancer, choreographer, and founder of the VivRtti Dance Company, hails from a lineage steeped in the arts. She is the daughter and disciple of Guru Kalaimamani Madurai R. Muralidaran, a celebrated composer, playwright, and nattuvanar, alongside Smt. Chithra Muralidaran, both of whom are esteemed artistic directors of Nrithyakshethra Dance Academy in Chennai. With an impressive global footprint spanning over 25 years, Kavya has graced stages across numerous countries, including the USA, Canada, the UK, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Kuwait.
She is particularly renowned for her remarkable choreography and impeccable footwork. Kavya has had the honour of collaborating with distinguished musicians, such as Veena Maestro Sri Rajhesh Vaidhya, sharing the spotlight with him at the prestigious Trinity Festival in Melbourne, Australia.
