Kanglei Spandan brings together a group of Manipuri diaspora dancers in the United Kingdom to celebrate the vibrant dance heritage of Manipur. The programme weaves folk and ritual dances, traditionally learned under a guru for seasonal and devotional performances, with classical compositions inspired by Radha and Krishna narratives. Through flowing movements, expressive gestures, and rhythmic energy, the performance invites audiences to experience the spiritual depth, cultural richness, and artistic elegance of this northeastern Indian tradition.

Featuring both group and solo pieces, including works choreographed by Debanjali Biswas, the ensemble highlights the continuity of tradition and creative expression. By combining ritual, folk, and classical forms, Kanglei Spandan presents Manipuri dance as a living, evolving art form, reflecting the enduring connection between heritage, community, and performance while remaining accessible to audiences of all backgrounds.
