Bihar Association UK(BAUK) is a registered non-profit organisation in the United Kingdom, dedicated to celebrating and promoting the vibrant culture of Bihar and India. Working closely with community organisations, scholars, and intellectuals, it actively engages in cultural and community service initiatives with the vision of spreading awareness of Bihar’s rich heritage across the UK.
The event will showcase a Mithila painting exhibition with a live demonstration, offering audiences an authentic insight into this traditional art form. A brief introduction to Bihar and the community service work carried out by Bihar Association UK will follow.
The cultural programme will feature traditional regional dance forms such as Jhijia and Jhumar, along with performances in various languages of Bihar, including Maithili, Bhojpuri, and Santhali, reflecting the state’s cultural and linguistic diversity. Guests will also be able to enjoy authentic Bihari snacks, providing a taste of Bihar’s unique culinary heritage.
