Lakshmi Parthasarathy Athreya is an accomplished Bharatanatyam soloist and a recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar from the Sangeet Natak Akademi. A senior disciple of the esteemed danseuse Chitra Visweswaran, Lakshmi blends rigorous classical tradition with contemporary sensibility, offering deeply researched and evocative choreography.
Based in Chennai, she leads Pravaaha – Centre for Movement, where she nurtures young dancers and promotes the rich heritage of Bharatanatyam through performances, workshops, and lecture-demonstrations.
