Workshop on Indian classical dance appreciation by experienced dancers of Odissi, Bharatnatyam and Kathak for practitioners and students of non-Indian dance forms (e.g. Ballet, Latin American, Flamenco) and students and professionals in academic fields like Classical Studies, Art history, Indian History, Cultural Anthropology, Sanskrit Studies and Theatre/acting.
However, anyone interested [above 18 years of age] is welcome.
At the end of the session, the participants will likely:
Understand and get an insight into nuances of Indian classical dance forms in order to enrich their cultural selves and afford a richer experience as an audience.
These insights could inspire them to apply this in their own domain and to their performances/work.
The sessions should provide them an activated network to collaborate with each other.
