YUJ, meaning “union,” will be a spellbinding Kathak performance that celebrates the sacred harmony between rhythm and movement. Set to unfold as an immersive musical gala, the performance will feature the Kathakmanch sister duo, Neha Yadav and Sanjhi Yadav, as they bring stories to life through graceful gestures, electric spins, and precise footwork.

The evening will open with a serene Ganesh Vandana set to Roopak Taal (seven beats), followed by a powerful display of technical mastery in Dhamaar Taal (14 beats), showcasing todas, tukdas, parans, and tihais. As the performance builds, audiences will be drawn into a vibrant Tirvat in Teen Taal (16 beats) at drut laya, seamlessly weaving together Bandish, Sargam, and Tarana.

The grand finale will feature a dazzling Jugalbandi, a rhythmic duel where the dancers’ ghungroos converse with the beats of live percussion, celebrating the joy of pure artistic synergy.

Mentored by Kathak maestro Manoj Gangani, Neha and Sanjhi will showcase their individual strengths—Rajputi elegance, expressive depth, and musical precision—in a performance that promises to leave the audience not just watching, but feeling: you become the dance.
