Exhibition: Dharohar
Dharohar is a five-day immersive exhibition dedicated to unveiling the richness and diversity of India’s traditional art forms on a global stage. Rooted in the idea of heritage, Dharohar seeks to bridge the gap between the known and the overlooked by showcasing over 30 distinct folk and tribal art forms from across the Indian subcontinent.
Despite India’s vast repository of over 200 unique art styles, only a few have received widespread recognition. This event aspires to change that by offering a platform where the stories, techniques, and beauty of lesser-known art forms—such as Manjusha from Bihar, Chipa from Chhindwara, Tikuli from Bihar, Pichwai from Rajasthan, and Kerala mural art—can be appreciated and understood.
Each day will spotlight different art traditions, with live demonstrations, interactive workshops, and artist interactions. Attendees will engage with both emerging and master artists, gaining first-hand insight into their craft.
Dharohar is not just an exhibition—it is a celebration of India’s artistic soul.
