Jai Maa Dhari Devi (Hail Mother Goddess Dhari Devi) is the first religious film made in 'Dev Bhoomi', Uttarakhand, Himalayan state of India; and will be the first movie from the region to be screened in the UK.

'Shiv Dhan Foundation', a Charity organization which works among the rural masses in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, in the areas of children education, and health care for elderly, supported making of this film, as it highlights some of the core values, beliefs, moral character, goodness, faith and worship aspects of the people with Sanatani roots in Bharat and is expected to promote religious awareness and tourism in the region.

Dhari Devi Maa is widely worshipped, and the temple is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River between Srinagar and Rudraprayag in Garhwal. Dhari Devi is the guardian deity of Uttarakhand and is revered as the protector of the DevBhumi Char Dhams - Gangotri, Jamnotri, Badrinath & Kedarnath. It is one of 108 Shakti Sthals in India, as mentioned in Srimad Devi Bhagwat.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Devendra Singh Rawat, the director of the film. Debu Rawat has been in the Indian Film industry for over 3 decades. Prior to being an independent director in the Uttarakhand regional cinema, he worked as Assistant Director to several well-known names in the industry.
