Ready, Steady is a coming of age high-school drama which cuts across five stories from the same classroom - of youngsters from extremely tough backgrounds trying to find their own in an elite private school. The film has had an extremely special filming process as the film has been co-created by the ten protagonists who are also the co-writers of the film and play themselves on screen too.
Safdar’s first feature film, CHIPPA, released globally in June 2020 as a Netflix exclusive to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. It climbed to the ‘number one film’ on the network’s charts inside one week of its release. His career started, in a way, in 2012 when he found himself being a class teacher to in a 2nd grade classroom as a part of the Teach for India program. Since then, he has been telling stories with, for and about Young Adults.
