Sankranti festival is the harvest festival celebrated across India.
This festival signifies the harvest season of sesame, peanuts, sugarcane, and sweet potato. Kite flying, drawing Rangolis, distributing red berries and display of decorated cows and bulls are among intrinsic parts of the festival.
The family friendly event at the Nehru Centre includes cultural performances, interactive Kite Making session, sharing Ellu-Bella Sugarcane (Sesame-Jaggery Peanuts Trail mix) with community members, followed by festive feast.
