Varsha comes from a musically inclined family and started learning carnatic vocal at the age of 4. She performed on stage for the first time at 8 years old. She is a student of Delhi Shri. P. Sunder Rajan. She was a child artiste at All India Radio (Akashwani), Pune and later became a graded artiste of All India Radio, Chennai. Varsha has performed in various sabhas in India such as Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha, Chennai, Indian Fine Arts, Chennai, Narada Gana Sabha, Karur as well as outside India, at the South Indian Fine Arts Society, Singapore. She has lent her voice to various recordings for dancers in Pune.

Varsha, along with stellar accompanying artists, will be performing a Carnatic vocal concert on the theme “Different Languages in Carnatic Music”. The aim will be to showcase the linguistic diversity of Carnatic Music through compositions spanning across several languages, including where multiple languages are used in the same composition.
