Born in a musically talented family, Satarupa Ghosh is an accomplished Hindustani classical vocalist of the Kirana Gharana. Her areas of expertise include khyals and semi classical genres like thumri, dadra, kajris and bhajans.

Satarupa has trained under the able guidance of several maestros in India and UK such as Vidushi Mandira Lahiri, disciple of renowned Pt Chinmoy Lahiri, Smt Gouri Chowdhury, senior disciple of Pt A Kanan, Smt Chandrima Mishra in UK, and currently Vidushi Chandra Chakraborty of Kirana Gharana in UK.

Satarupa has performed in many concerts and musicals, including Akkhtari-the musical, Jalsa-Tale of Tawaifs and several others all around UK. Satarupa has also done solo recitals at notable venues in UK like Nehru Centre, UK Bengali Convention and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Other than music being her passion, Satarupa is a senior executive in Financial Services and is a single mum to a 11-year-old boy. She actively promotes Indian classical music in India and UK.

Accompanied by Aniruddha Mukherjee: Aniruddha is one of the most talented and flourishing Tabla players in the UK & India. He has trained under Shree Debashish Mukherjee and currently learning from leading Tabla exponent Pt. Shubhankar Banerjee. Aniruddha got his master’s degree (Music) from Rabindra Bharati University. He has bagged several prizes and honours for his brilliant performances and is an A Graded artist of All India Radio TV, Kolkata. Aniruddha has participated in several music conferences in India and abroad.
