Music, Poetry and Dance: Celebrating Rabindra Jayanti

Rabindranath Tagore’s artistic vision was deeply intertwined with music and dance—forms he saw as expressions of the soul’s deepest emotions. This year’s Rabindra Jayanti, hosted by Bengal Heritage Foundation at Nehru Centre, will celebrate Tagore’s creative spirit through a seamless blend of melody, rhythm, and poetry.

The evening will explore how his songs evoke love, longing, devotion, and the beauty of nature, while dance brings alive the emotions embedded in his lyrics. Through carefully curated performances of Rabindra Sangeet, expressive dance, and evocative recitations, we will embark on a journey into Tagore’s world, where music and movement transcend words to create a universal language of harmony. The performances will be by accomplished UK-based singers, dancers, and actors who have performed on stage at several venues in the UK and in India.
