Saachi Sen is a Mumbai -born singer songwriter who channels her background as a Cambridge chapel chorister into classically influenced, harmony-rich alt-pop music.

Her writing has earned several accolades, including a semi-finalist place in the International Song writing Competition, a Long List position in Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition, and PRS for Music’s prestigious Lynsey de Paul Prize for female songwriters. Her music has additionally featured on multiple BBC Introducing shows and gained international press recognition, premiering in the likes of Atwood Magazine and Wonderland who dubbed her recent release ‘pop perfection’.

A past resident artist at Camden’s Roundhouse, her live career spans festivals such as Frank Turner’s Lost Evening II and the main stages of Cambridge Big Weekend and Elderflower Fields, plus popular London venues like O2 Academy Islington, the Camden Assembly and Oslo Hackney (supporting emerging pop star Rothwell and fusion composer Soumik Datta respectively.) In her biggest gig to date, she performed in Trafalgar Square to over 10,000 people at Pride in London 2019, and then repeated the feat at London’s official Diwali celebrations in the same year.

In 2022, Saachi premiered her unique live arrangements of violin, cello, guitar and voice, combining classical music and contemporary pop into an enchanting acoustic sound. Her violinist Joe Swartzentruber and cellist Linden Ralph are experienced musicians who were members of various Cambridge University orchestras and also gained mote for performances as soloists. Recently they recorded their first single with Saachi and engineer Dave Leondi of Abbey Road Studios’ prestigious Abbey Road Institute.

Saachi is currently releasing under the moniker ‘saachisen’. Her latest release The Gap is grand piano-led with lush vocal harmonies and was recorded at the studios of Apple Music’s label Platoon, together with engineer Ramera Abraham ( Little Mix, Adele) mixed by Amanda Merdzan ( Tom Walker, Freya Ridings).
