Kalakar Arts UK, a musical organisation, is founded and led by Kirana Gharana vocalist Guru Smt. Chandra Chakraborty. She is based in London and performs in USA, UK, Europe and in India.
Both, Anuja and Priya are under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Chandra Chakraborty and have been performing regularly at the Guru-Poornima, Saraswati Pooja celebrations and Baithaks every year. They have also performed in the musicals “Begum Akhtar” and “Saraswati” held at the Bhavan, London.
This ‘Swara- Sandhya’ will be bring a fresh perspective to presentation of Hindustani Shastreeya Sangeet (Indian Classical Music) by including both raga and semiclassical genres, exploring creative improvisation and highlighting the blend of musical styles.
