In this specially curated presentation, Koyel Bhattacharya a talented Hindustani classical vocalist and disciple of Ustad Rashid Khan, collaborates with UK born Tagore vocalist Rishi Banerjee. The evening will take you on a journey of ragas, emotions, and rhythm as we celebrate the monsoon – the most vibrant and special season in India.

Rishi Banerjee is a British born vocalist specialising in the music of Rabindranath Tagore. Trained under the likes of Ballari Banerjee, Pramita Mallick and Chiranjib Chakraborty, he has performed alongside esteemed artists such as the late Pandit Birju Maharaj, Sharmila Tagore, Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Pramita Mallick and Rezwana Choudhury Bannya. He has performed in numerous cities and prestigious venues across the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Sweden, Croatia, USA, Bangladesh, and India, promoting the works of Rabindranath Tagore.

Koyel Bhattacharya, a disciple of the renowned Ustad Rashid Khan, she has been trained by her mother, Smt. Kanta Bhattacharya, Partho Protim Bhor, Pandit Manas Chakraborty and Shubhashis Mukherjee. Koyel has performed across India as well as recording kheyal on All India Radio.
