RENDITION, a workshop on the explanation of the usage of gestures, facial expressions, and rendition of sentiments and emotions based on the ancient text ‘Natyashashtra’ by Bharata Muni. It is considered to be the 5th Veda, ‘Natyaveda’ incorporating elements from the 4 well-known Vedas namely Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samveda, and Atharvaveda. When one speaks a language one would be called educated when one knows the grammar behind the spoken language.

Similarly, it's important to know the grammar behind a classical Dance performance where the body language, gestures, and facial expressions are used to delineate a story involving different characters. This workshop is a humble attempt to offer a simple explanation through demonstration of the profound text mainly for the present generation learning/teaching classical dance.
