Jigar Soni learnt art from his father Navin Soni, who is an acclaimed artist himself. Jigar Soni has been making oil portraits from the age of 10. In the early age of his career he used to make Illustrations in local newspapers. His first solo Exhibition was held at Aina Mahal Palace in Bhuj in 2007. In 2009, he got the opportunity to Exhibit his paintings at Nehru Centre Art Gallery Mumbai and for that he made a painting series on rural life of Kutch-Gujarat.

Jigar Soni was honoured with the Gujarat state Lalitkala Akademi Award in 2011. He prepared a painting series on Indian Classical Music “RHYTHM” (Tal) and exhibited them at Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Mumbai in 2012. Jigar has also launched his book “Talvandna” with the blessings of the Guru Babubhai Ranpura. Jigar has made life sized portraits for Vande Matram Memorial and contributed as a concept Designer as well. His water colour Paintings were selected for an Exhibition of IWSUAEFEST2018 in Dubai.
