Saritha Choudhry, a Bharathanatyam dancer, has been training since the age of 4 and her Guru is Smt Amutha Dhandapani. Having been born in a family of Bharathanatyam dancers, she has had the chance to learn the intricacies of the art form from her mentors: her Guru, her mother and grandmother. Saritha has won prizes at the Tamil Nadu state level competitions and performed both in India and UK. She also performed in Germany to raise funds for an orphanage.
While studying at the University of Southampton, Saritha was chosen as Dance Captain of the Kandyan & Bharathanatyam Society. She also had the opportunity to explore other dance forms such as Garba, Bhangra and Bollywood. She currently works as a Coordinator in a school in Coimbatore and is also Head of Culture at the National Indian Students & Alumni Union UK.
Saritha will be performing a few pieces from a traditional Margam. The audience will get to see a mixture of Nritta, Nritya and Natya.
