Anekha’s training began with Upahaar School of Dance, under the tutelage of Guru Shalini Shivashankar. She had completed her Arangetram in 2015 and is keen to express her affinity with classical dance yet again, by performing a solo Bharatanatyam Maargam (repertoire).
Over the years she has been graced with many learning and performance opportunities. Some of these include dancing for the State Bank of India; Southbank Centre for the Yuva South Asian Dance Competition; Dharani School of Arts and Guruvayoor temple in India; the Queens Gallery at Buckingham Palace and a number of art venues such as Richmix, Chats Palace and The Bhavan Centre.
She is currently partaking in the Natya Project, created by Seeta Patel, alongside esteemed dancers, and will be performing at various venues. Meanwhile, she has also become part of the Upahaar faculty and teaches alongside her Guru.
