Krishan Tandon started working as a Drama artist at All India Radio, Delhi, in 1972. In 1981, he became an announcer in Vividh Bharti, Delhi A & B stations, External Service Division (ESD). Thereafter he switched over to Delhi Doordarshan, where he presented many shows for Satellite TV. He later joined the Trade Fair Authority of India as an Announcer/Theatre Manager on secondment for 5 years.
During this time he met the Late Shri Bhishm Sahni and Amrita Pritam. With Bhishma ji he worked in his Punjabi serial ‘SANJHA CHUHLA’ (common tandoor). In mid-80s he moved to Mumbai (Bombay) and worked with the Late Mr B R Chopra, Mr. Sagar Sarhadi, Manju Singh, and Janab Amin Sayani sahib, (with whom he did Hawa Mahal). Krishan started writing Ghazals which has since become his passion. His book on Urdu poetry Guldasta is his latest workout. It’s both in Hindi and Urdu.
Hina Baxi is a Law graduate from Mumbai, who settled in London in 1985. She is a Radio, TV, and Stage artist, having conducted Youth Forums on All India Radio in Mumbai. She was a gold medal winner in Inter-Collegiate Marathi stage competition in Mumbai. Her TV work includes programs such as ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’ and ‘Paas Bhi Tum, Door Bhi’ from Mumbai and Delhi Doordarshan respectively among others.
She anchored the news for TV Asia and a chat show for the Gujarati channel Gurjari in London. She has been running a Theatre company that has toured Europe and North America many times and served as Director and Actor in Hindi, English, and Gujarati plays. She has great facility with languages notably Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu, and English.
