Krishan Tandon started working as a Drama artist at All India Radio, Delhi, in 1972. In 1981, he became an announcer in Vividh Bharti, Delhi A & B stations, External Service Division (ESD). Thereafter he switched over to Delhi Doordarshan, where he presented many shows for Satellite TV. He later joined Trade Fair Authority of India as an Announcer/Theatre Manager on secondment for 5 years. During which time he met the Late Shri Bhishm Sahni and Amrita Pritam. With Bhishm ji he worked in his Punjabi serial ‘SANJHA CHUHLA’ (common tandoor). In mid 80s he moved to Mumbai (Bombay) and worked with the Late Mr B R Chopra, Mr Sagar Sarhadi, Manju Singh and Janab Amin Sayani sahib, (with whom he did Hawa Mahal). Krishan started writing Ghazals which has since become his passion. His book on Urdu poetry Guldasta is his latest work out. It’s both in Hindi and Urdu.
