A thought leader on leadership, design, and mental health, she has written extensively for various publications, including the UK’s Weekend Financial Times and India’s Mint newspaper, and profiled more than 100 CEOs in her popular column. Former CEO of her family’s office furniture business, Aparna studied at Oxford University and Harvard Business School.

Part memoir and part self-help, Chemical Khichdi presents a pathway for healing and recovery for anyone living with a mental health condition, their caregivers, allies, and mental health specialists. It is a best-seller in India, was shortlisted for the national AutHer literary awards, and led to global acclaim for Aparna’s authenticity and courage.

Her talk will focus on ‘Mental Health Jugalbandi: Blending Western and Eastern therapies for healing and recovery.’ Aparna will draw from her own lived experience to share how she blended Western therapies such as medication and talk therapy, with Eastern therapies such as yoga and ancient spiritual philosophy to successfully heal and recover from a serious mental health condition. The talk will appeal to anyone who would like to enhance their emotional and mental well-being and all those who love and care for them. As we celebrate World Mental Health Day on 10th October, this is a timely and hopeful topic for all.
