An enchanting Bharatanatyam evening unfolding through a seamless blend of motion, grace, and expression, begins with the fierce “Namaste Rudrarupini” (Devi Stuti), invoking divine strength and power. It then transitions into Krishna’s playful leelas “Mai Toh Nahi Jau Yamuna Teer”, why is baby Krishna not ready to visit the banks of river Yamuna? followed by “Saddu Madalu Bedavo”, where Krishna teasingly plays his flute in the stillness of night, what will she do next to stop krishna ? The performance further explores the emotional depths of the Nayika in Mohamana Varnam for her lord Tyagesha, before culminating in the bold and dynamic “Shambhu Natanam”. All pieces are choreographed by Vidushi Rama Vaidyanathan, making this recital a versatile and captivating journey of devotion, strength, emotion, and ultimate surrender.
