Dance: Fusion of Rivers – Indian Classical Dances Come Together
Parvathi, Irena & Anagha are students of the Choreomundus - Dance practice, knowledge, and heritage master’s at Roehampton University. They each have backgrounds in Indian classical dances (Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam).
Parvathi Muthuswamy is a graduate of Kalakshetra and MA Madras University and is a Bharatanatyam artist with 15 years of experience.
Irena Mihalkovich completed a 5-year ICCR sponsored course at Kerala Kalamandalam in Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam and has been performing and teaching for more than 10 years.
Anagha Pandiat has trained in Kathak and Bharatanatyam under renowned gurus and conducted her performances worldwide.
Together they will present a spectacular confluence of these Indian artforms, highlighting the vibrance of each. There will be the jugalbandi of the three artforms as well as a solo showcasing of each of the artforms., with this the audience will be taken on the journey across the vast lands of India and its pantheon of mythologies.
