Pujita Krishna’s style of Kuchipudi follows the lineage of Guru Uma Rama Rao. With a master’s degree in Fine Arts specializing in Dance from the University of California, Pujita has a multidisciplinary background in dance.

She is primarily an Indian Classical performer with Vilasini Natyam and Kuchipudi expertise. She is a Doordarshan graded artist for Kuchipudi and has been noted for her achievements by various cultural forums and organizations.

Her thesis 'Revival of Vilasini Natyam at Ranganathaswamy Temple, Hyderabad' has been published by Proquest, a prestigious academic publisher based in Michigan, USA. She has been the recipient of the Junior Fellowship under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.

She was awarded the best performance prize at the 112th annual festival of the prestigious Parthasarthy Sabha in Chennai in February 2013.

She was a recipient of the Ugadi Puraskar conferred by the Dhanwantari Foundation, Hyderabad 2014. She was awarded the IIDF award for Vilasini Natyam for 2016 Sanskruthiki, an organization founded by Sri Shyamhari Chakra, a well-known dance connoisseur.

She has several performances to her credit including the Natyanjali Festival at Chidambaram, IIDF festivals at Bhubaneshwar and Bangalore, The Guruvayoor temple festival, and Cuttack Mahotsav, including international performances such as SPICMACAY at Sydney, Australia, and at Gandhi Centre at the Hague, Netherlands.
