Hand in Hand: Making in the Modern Age at Mayfair’s Nehru Centre explores the modern making and cultural vernaculars through new and rarely seen works by a panoply of specially selected designers, artists, and makers who are invigorating and reinventing the application of heritage craft skills. The installation will feature Vikram Goyal, Jan Waterston, Tamsin van Essen, Klove Studio, Ane Christensen, Ashiesh Atelier, Marta Sala Editions, Novocastrian, on.entropy, Tarun Tahiliani, Marta Sala Editions, Michèle Oberdieck, Vanderhurd and Zoe Wilson.

Informed by a multitude of regional and global design languages, Hand in Hand: Making in the Modern Age shines a light on both emerging and established makers. It sets out to explore the relationship between culture, materials, tools, and techniques through the work of exemplary contemporary craftspeople in a curated edit at the Nehru Centre, the hub for the Mayfair Design District.
