Exhibition: Taamara

Experience the divine manifestation of nature through the artistic lens of Kerala mural maestro, P K Sadanandan, in the captivating exhibition titled "Taamara”.

The word “Taamara” means the Lotus in Malayalam, representing the divine or immortal in humanity and symbolic of divine perfection. PK Sadanandan works with natural colours and his handmade brushes on linen as well as canvas. Renowned for his profound contributions to the art form, Sadanandan intricately weaves together the rich cultural tapestry of Kerala murals, showcas-ing his deep-rooted connection to nature. At the heart of Sadanandan’s artistic expression lies the essence of the lotus, a recurring motif in his works. Through meticulous strokes and vibrant hues, he captures the transcendental beauty of this sacred flower, infusing his pieces with a sense of spiritual resonance. Each artwork becomes a visual ode to Taamara, the di-vine manifestation of nature, as seen through the eyes of a master muralist. The exhibition serves as a gateway to the artist's vision, exposing the richness of Kerala mural art and its deep connec-tion to the natural world.

A Master of Fine Arts (Painting), Karnataka Open University, Mysore, and Five-Year National Diploma in Traditional Kerala Mural Painting (1989-1992 as the first batch of Guruvayoor School), P K Sadanandan was also a participant at the Kochi Muziris Biennale 3rd edition.

Recently his artworks were exhibited in New York through the Cymroza Art Gallery.

Representing the artist is Gayatri, a curator, and an experienced and dedicated freelance art con-sultant from Chennai, with a deep passion for art curation and advisory services. With over 25 years in the art consultancy field, she has had the privilege of working with diverse artists and cli-ents, guiding them in building distinguished art collections, advising on art investments, and curating impactful exhibitions.
