Acclaimed actor and peace advocate Paul Bazely will deliver a lecture on Indian Philosophy and Gandhiji. Drawing from his unique background as both an internationally recognized actor and a dedicated student of spiritual traditions, Paul will explore the timeless wisdom of Indian philosophy and its influence on Mahatma Gandhi’s life and thought.
In addition to his celebrated career on stage, screen, and television, Paul has narrated bestselling audiobooks of the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and Dhammapada, as well as The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna. His deep engagement with nonviolence, through training in Nonviolent Communication and his service in peacebuilding initiatives, brings a distinctive perspective to Gandhi’s philosophy. Having twice portrayed Gandhi at the National Theatre in The Father and the Assassin, Paul reflects on how embodying the Mahatma has shaped his understanding of truth, nonviolence, and the relevance of Gandhi’s message for today’s world.
