Sugato Bhaduri is one of the most sought after mandolinist in India today. He was initiated into the field of music at a very young age. He started learning vocal music from his uncle and emerged out as a child artist performing on All India Radio. He later devoted himself to Hindustani Classical Music and over a period of 17 years he has learnt under the active supervision of renowned Sarod player Pandit T. N. Majumder. Sugato has also attended workshops conducted by Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, the legendary figure in Indian music. Sugato belongs to the Maihar-Seni Gharana

In 2001, he was awarded the prestigious title of Surmani by Sur-Singar Samsad (Mumbai). He has also been awarded the prestigious Gandharva Ratna title by Sangeet Samraat Ustad Alladiya khan Memorial, Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

Sugato has toured extensively in Europe (U.K, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Serbia & Croatia) and performed in various prestigious international music festivals & concerts.

Sugato also performed in ‘Eurofestival Zupfmusik, Bamberg, Germany as the first ever Indian artist. He has also performed in Poussiere Du Monde Festival, Geneva, Switzerland. In 2014 Sugato represented India in the International Silk Road Music Festival,Yerevan, Armenia.
