MITRA: “Meditate on friendship,” a popular Sanskrit song preaches. The interdependence in this world indicates we must avoid enmity. “Mitra” builds on this universality of friendship through a mythological and lyrical context, touching on various types of relationships. Preethi points to friendship as the root of siblinghood, romance, confidantes, and divinity. Ultimately, she finds that many of these characters lie within us. Narrated in English and a score in Tamil, Sanskrit, Hindi, and Kannada, “Mitra: Glimpses of Eternal Friendship” takes its viewers into a journey within.
