Mr Haider Tabatabai brightened the Urdu cultural scene of Europe and other continents through his masterful pen. His books Aain-e-sukhanwari, Aain- e-Maykashi and London ke Bhoot, have been hailed by critics as having enriched the Urdu literature.

Mr Gopichand Narang, a legend in the contemporary scene, has described ‘Aain-e-Sukhanwari’, as an extra ordinary book. He served as the chief editor of the Urdu magazine, sheharzaad and steered it with great vision winning rave reviews. He also founded Majaz Academy, London and under his leadership it became the scene of many Mushairas, literary gatherings and musical evenings.

The Programme will be compered by Bollywood actor Krishan Tandon.

Prominent shayars like Waseem Rashid,Aslam Chisti and Iqbal Haider , will express their appreciation of Haider Tabatabai and his work through a Mushaira (An evening social gathering at which Urdu poetry is read, typically taking the form of a contest) . Along with that London’s well known ghazal singer Mr Asif Raza , will be singing ghazals and Sufi kalams .

Dr Anwar Rizvi (USA) a retired professor of Persian Literature and a prominent writer, broadcaster and journalist Mr Asaf Jilani will talk about Haider Tabatabai’s achievements.
