Md. Vakil is an Indian Singer and TV personality. He is one of the noted and well-established playback singers of India. He was the winner of Saregama Mega Finale in the year 1998 and a finalist participant in the year 1997; which made him a household name. He made his debut in Bollywood films and grabbed international attention by doing thousands of shows across the globe.

Md. Vakil has received several awards and accolades, including Dada Saheb Phalke Indian Television Award, RD Burman Pancham Samman, Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy Award & Rising Star by CL Nepali Organisation the recently received Pride of India Award at Muscat, Oman.

Born in the family of classical ghazal singers and a renowned singing gharana of Rajasthan, Md. Vakil was highly inspired by the singing lineage of his family and started singing at the tender age of 5, gave his first stage performance at the age of 8, and determined to turn his passion into a career. Trained under the guidance of his maternal uncles (Ustad Mohammed Hussain and Ustad Ahmed Hussain), Md. Vakil rose to fame after winning the SAREGAMAPA Finale (1998), where noted playback singer Sonu Nigam was the host for the show. This got him numerous offers of doing albums and he recorded - released popular albums like Kasak, Keh Do Keh Do & Tera Khayal Etc. These musical albums created a buzz in the industry and he got his big break in the form of Aaya Tere Dar Par Deewana in Yash Chopra’s blockbuster Veer Zaara (2006).
