Sound Anthropology, led by Ayana Homma of Jazzy Sport London, is a dynamic collective that seamlessly merges spiritual jazz with global and electronic influences. The ensemble’s music is a captivating fusion of Rhythm, Raga, Tala, and Maqam, creating an immersive experience that connects deeply with audiences.

Drawing from Ayana's original compositions, the group features a diverse array of talented musicians: Ayana on vocals, Tommy Khosla on sitar, Vishnu Vijayan on tabla, Mohammad Resyad on oud and guitar, and Alex Ryder on bass. Vishnu Vijayan, a skilled tabla player, infuses the intricate rhythms of Hindustani classical music into the ensemble's sound, while Tommy Khosla’s contemporary sitar playing bridges classical Indian music with jazz and electronic genres. Mohammad Resyad’s mastery of plucked chordophones, particularly the oud, adds a blend of Eastern and Western melodies. Alex Ryder, a seasoned music producer and bassist, provides a foundation of ambient sounds that enriches the group's performances. Shivani Sen, a Hindustani Classical vocalist with 21 years of training, also contributes her expertise, merging traditional Indian music with Western influences.

Together, Sound Anthropology offers a powerful and resonant musical experience, blending diverse traditions into a cohesive and innovative sound."
