Hanuman’s Ramayan is Devdutt Pattanaik’s retelling of the popular myth. The epic Ramayan was not only written by Sage Valmiki, but also by the legendary Vayuputra, Hanuman. As Valmiki reads through Hanuman’s story, the entire Ramayana unfolds in front of his eyes. Valmiki sees it through Hanuman’s compassionate eyes, bringing in a new perspective. It’s refreshing ending adds emotional appeal to the enduring myth.

A versatile teller with a wide repertoire of folk, traditional, literary, and beguiling mythical tales, Usha adapts her craft to suit young and older audience, sometimes using other arts like puppetry, dance, and music. Hanuman’s Ramayana brims with compassion and what better way than to experience this in a story with visual effects.

Hanuman’s Ramayan is an attempt on the part of a contemporary storyteller to explore new possibilities, bringing in her own dimension to reach out to people through the ancient tradition of Storytelling, Puppetry and Music also known as Contemporary ‘Kathakaalakshepam’.
