Shuddh Kathak O Bhanusingher Nayika Chatushtay

Born in Kolkata Sangeeta Majumder is one of the renowned Kathak Dancers of the present generation in India. She is the founder of Strings N Steps International Festival. Formerly a student at Pandit Birju Maharaj’s ‘KALASHRAM’ academy, Sangeeta has represented India in Argentina, Hungary, Romania, Dubai, Nepal, Slovakia, Netherlands, Austria and Germany. Known for her innovative skills, she is the pioneer of ‘Strings N Steps’ which has both established itself as a concept and as an Academy. As a concept it is the first of its kind to amalgamate the tune of Hawaiian guitar with Kathak.

Sangeetha is known to be a traditional dancer with a modern touch. The winner of Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy Competition in 2013, she was also felicitated by Pandit Birju Maharaj in 2012. She is an ICCR empanelled artist.
