An enthralling evening to celebrate British Hindi Literature with Indian Theatre input.

Maut Ek Madhyantra, story written by Tejendra Sharma,is a solo play by Gita Guha, an artist of 2001 batch of National School of Drama, New Delhi, would be the star attraction of the evening. The story deals with 15 days of a wife with her dying husband in the ICU of a hospital.

Gita’s Acting work experience includes NSD Repertory, Forum Fries Theatre, Dusseldorf (Germany), Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. Her foray into films include – Beyond the Clouds (Majid Majidi), Interconnect, Black Wing (VR film), H2SOc, Talvar, Alighat Kaphal (61st National Award Winner). Short Film: Saroj, Sadak Chhap, 10 feet by 10 feet. She has a few TV serials to her credit_ Ishabaaz (Star Plus), Kyon ki Jeena Isi ka Naam hai (Doordarshan), Nandini (Sony TV), Crime Petrol, Savdhan India, Code Red, and Salam India. In United Kingdom she has also presented the solo play based on Tejendra Sharma’s story Shwet Shyam.

Tejendra Sharma MBE is the only Hindi writer to be honoured by the Queen of England for his services to Hindi literature. He has been honoured by the Presidents of India Pranab Mukherjee and Pratibha Patil. His stories are a part of syllabus in various universities of India. He is the General Secretary of Katha UK and Editor of Purvai Magazine.
