Sri M is an authentic spiritual master and social reformer. He calls himself M for Mankind, representing the unity of all.

His fascinating journey to self-realization is well documented in his autobiography, Apprenticed to a Himalayan Master. He had secretly left home at the age of 19 in search of a yogi in the Himalayas, and he found his guru there. He was comprehensively trained by Babaji in the wisdom of the ancient rishis and the secret lore handed down through verbal traditions. He worked hard with single-minded devotion for selftransformation. He insists the time is ripe for everyone else to attain it too.

“There’s no shortcut to enlightenment. It’s a state where one knows the essence and source of one’s being through constant seeking and experiences,” he says.

His epic Walk of Hope in 2015-16 over the length of India took 16 months and covered 7,500 km.

His Manav Ekta Mission works for unity across all divisions and his Satsang Foundation works to uplift the dispossessed through education, healthcare and employment projects
